If you’re like most Americans, you started January with a fitness “bang”. Maybe you joined a health club or bought a piece of fitness equipment. But now, the motivation is dwindling and the equipment is getting dusty. Need a boost to get back on track?

Here are some ideas:

1) Try something new. Check out the classes at your health club or the school and try yoga, Nia, water aerobics or rowing.

2) Talk to the people in your support network. Those who exercise regularly have probably had some of the same hurdles you have and can make suggestions for overcoming them.

3) Reassess the short and long term goals you set for yourself. Focus on those you have achieved, and reassess those you have not. Maybe they weren’t realistic in the first place.

You can achieve your goals this year so don’t give up!
