For 2018 we have chosen to focus our monthly newsletter theme on practicing mindfulness. Mindfulness is a conscious choice we make to live in the moment, to fully experience our life rather than just trudging through to check the box of another day done! Learning to be mindful in how you eat, sleep, exercise and manage stress can be the difference-maker in your good health. I hope you will find the information, health tips and recipes in our newsletter meaningful as you make a daily habit of pursuing good health.

If there is anything we can do to assist you, please call our office at 210-545-4422 to be directed to one of our dietitians or workplace wellness specialists. At JTA Wellness, we offer personalized one-on-one sessions to help you create a practical plan that meets your medical and personal lifestyle needs. These sessions are often covered at 100% by your insurance plan so there may be no out of pocket expense to you!

In early February, we will begin group classes to give you practical guidance on how to manage obesity, insulin resistance and diabetes. In addition, we are beginning a new series of classes on anti-inflammatory living. As many of you know, Jan is passionate about her work and research on the importance of practicing a healthy lifestyle to prevent chronic disease. As a follow-up to her book, Eat Well to Be Well, Jan has now created an established protocol for how to reduce chronic inflammation and prevent chronic disease. She will be teaching this protocol that has shown amazing results in helping to prevent and/or manage everything from autoimmune disease to cognitive decline.  These classes will also begin in early February.

To schedule a private consultation or register for a class, please call our office or email us at info@jtawellness.com.  Here’s to your good health in 2018!
