Ingredients
  • 2 pound beef rump roast, trimmed and cut into 2 inch cubes, or purchase lean beef tips if available
  • ½ teaspoon each salt and fresh cracked black pepper
  • 12 ounces mushrooms, quartered
  • 1 small sweet yellow onion, cut vertically into slivers
  • 1 (1 oz.) package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can low sodium beef broth
  • ¼ cup dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
  1. Season beef with salt and pepper and place in slow-cooker. Add mushrooms and onions and sprinkle all with dry soup mix.
  2. In medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour over beef mixture and stir.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours until beef is tender. Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes, if desired.
