Ingredients
  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
  • ½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 slices center-cut bacon
Instructions
  1. Bring large pot of water to boil, add green beans and cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Pour beans into colander to drain.
  2. in large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until cooked but not crisp, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove to paper towel to drain grease. Cut each slice in half; set aside.
  3. In small saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder and cook over medium heat until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved; set aside.
  4. Bundle about 8 to 10 green beans together and wrap with ½ slice of bacon. Secure with toothpick. Repeat until all bundles are prepared. Place bundles on baking sheet with sides. Drizzle butter mixture over each bundle, cover and allow to marinate overnight in refrigerator.
  5. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
