Kelsie Raign, MS, RDN, LD

Hi! I’m Kelsie Raign, a registered dietitian at JTA Wellness. I hold a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and foods, along with a master’s degree in human nutrition from Texas State University. With a strong foundation in studying the link between obesity, inflammation, and cancer, my passion lies in educating individuals on nutrition and diseases. I specialize in medical nutrition therapy for conditions such as cancer, liver and kidney diseases, GI disorders, diabetes, tube feeds, and weight management. I firmly believe in the transformative power of wellness for a fulfilling life.

Nutrition has played a significant role throughout my life. Engaging in track, cross country, and speed skating races during my youth highlighted the importance of proper fueling for optimal performance. Additionally, personal experiences with family members managing cancer and diabetes motivated me to appreciate the profound impact of nutrition and lifestyle choices on our well-being. Witnessing the positive outcomes of daily nutritious habits fueled my dedication to becoming a dietitian, allowing me to assist others in managing their health conditions.

My professional journey includes over a year of experience in a hospital setting, providing medical nutrition therapy to individuals in intensive and critical care units, dialysis, and oncology units. This exposure deepened my understanding of the role nutrition and weight management play in disease progression, as well as the unique needs and barriers individuals face in different health statuses.

Beyond my professional life, I have a keen interest in trying new foods and exploring diverse cultures. I enjoy frequenting non-chain local restaurants, sharing these experiences with friends. I firmly believe that food should be enjoyed and not stressful. It would be my pleasure to work with you to achieve a dietary lifestyle that makes you feel great!
