Classic Hummus

Ingredients
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2-3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ⅓ cup tahini
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add additional water if needed.
  2. Garnish with additional parsley and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper, if desired. Serve alongside fresh vegetables, pita bread, or your favorite grilled meats. Use within 3 days.
