Rub pork with 1 teaspoon barbecue rub and place in slow cooker; pour Coke over the meat.
Cover and cook on low until tender and pork shreds easily, about 8 hours.
Remove pork from slow cooker and shred. Pour drippings into container and set aside.
Place shredded pork back into slow cooker, add barbecue sauce and desired amount of drippings to get moist consistency; cook on low until heated through.
