Black-Eyed Pea Skillet

Ingredients
1 pound 96% lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 (16 oz.) can Black-Eyed Peas, drained
1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon each of salt and sugar
½ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon minced garlic
3 mini cornbread loaves, split lengthwise and heated, optional
Instructions
Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring often. Serve over cornbread, if desired
Layer with fresh peaches, blueberries over batter and sprinkle evenly with remaining ½ cup sugar.
