Superhero Spaghetti
- 1 pound 96% lean ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 cup finely chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup each shredded carrot and zucchini
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 oz) can petit diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon ground oregano
- 1 teaspoon each salt and garlic salt
- ΒΌ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 drops Tabasco sauce (or to taste)
- 2 cups water
- 1 (12 oz) package Barilla Plus spaghetti noodles
- In large Dutch oven, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, carrot and zucchini. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring to incorporate vegetables.
- Add all remaining ingredients, except spaghetti. Simmer mixture over low heat for 5 minutes. Break spaghetti noodles in half and add (uncooked). Cover pot tightly, reduce heat, and simmer on lowest setting for 30 minutes. Uncover and simmer an additional 10 minutes.
